20th August 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope you are all well. I know you are eagerly awaiting the opening of our school and looking forward to your child settling into a routine once again.
We have been working hard interpreting Government directives and applying them to our school so that we can open safely for all on August 31st. There is a need to approach the re-opening in a calm and measured way and at the same time ensuring that we have the best possible chance of not allowing the virus to enter our community or to spread with ease.
It is vitally important that we work together in this effort.

We know we can depend on your full co-operation with adhering to our plan and to new measures aimed at keeping the virus from our community.
Be assured that teachers, as capable professionals, will assess the learning needs of your child and will work to support your child with any difficulties they may experience due to the lengthy school absence.
The Department of Education and Skills will shortly issue a webinar for parents on reopening of schools, you can access this on their website in the coming days.
Finally, practices in schools may change at short notice in line with directives and guidelines which may issue from the Department of Education and Skills.
We look forward so much to welcoming each and every child back to school on Monday, August 31st.
Thank you sincerely for your support and good wishes.
Regina and Staff.
